American travelers abroad face significant risks, including kidnapping, human trafficking, contaminated food, unsafe accommodations, and hazardous public transportation. Since 2001, the U.S. State Department has addressed human trafficking through its annual Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report, a vital resource evaluating global efforts to combat this heinous crime. At HQtest, our mission is to enhance traveler safety through informed decision-making. Our founder, Young Soo Kim, has been a dedicated advocate in the fight against human trafficking since 1999, working as part of the Focal Point on Sexual Exploitation of Children and collaborating with the U.S. Department of Justice to combat sex trafficking. However, our commitment extends beyond trafficking—we assess a wide range of threats that impact global travelers. HQtest News Service was established to raise awareness and empower travelers with critical safety insights. Initially focused on developing a global safety map to highlight secure destinations amid threats like organized crime and trafficking, we have since expanded our vision. Today, we are pioneering a system that assigns Healing Quotient (HQ) Test scores to countries, hotels, and tourist destinations, evaluating safety and overall well-being. While our roots stem from our charity foundation, our goal is to evolve into a trusted, authoritative news source dedicated to protecting lives and ensuring safer travel experiences worldwide.
